Position Summary
ME&A is recruiting a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for analyzing financial information and supporting financial reporting and operations. The Senior Accountant will handle day to day accounting tasks as well and general accounting procedures, and other financial activities within the firm.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 5-10 years’ experience working in accounting of government contracting, preferably in international development
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to track and report data accurately and timely
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and procedures
- Language proficiency: Fluent in English
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
Responsibilities
- Time Sheet Management – Collecting and recording time sheets in Sympaq accounting software
- Analysis of Bank Statements
- Preparation of Bank Reconciliation
- Preparation of Journal Entries and entering transactions in Sympaq accounting software
- Monthly invoice preparation
- Credit Card Analysis
- Preparing vouchers
