Mid-Level Contract Specialist
ME&A is recruiting a Mid-Level Contract Specialist to support USAID’s Bureau for Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA) in its operational and administrative support in the coordination of their programs of international disaster response and humanitarian assistance; emergency and developmental food aid: conflict mitigation programs; transition activities; and, other DCHA Bureau initiatives.
The Mid-Level Contract Specialist will be responsible for assisting the USAID Office of Acquisition and Assistance in the solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, termination, close-out and post award administration of U.S. Personal Services Contracts. The Mid-Level Contract Specialist will prepare contract files and required electronic documents. She/He will research, analyze and review all applicable policies, guidance and regulations to support the client’s Contracting Officer decision-making. This position performs necessary research and prepares all documentation for the termination of contracts for the convenience of the U.S. Government or default by the contractor. The Mid-Level Contract Specialist will assist in providing procurement assistance, advice, and guidance to junior level contracting personnel. Other qualifications include:
- At lease a Master’s Degree economics or related fields;
- At least (6) six years of experience managing and developing contracts;
- Knowledge of Federal contract regulations:
- Experience working with USAID is a plus.
