Senior Level Monitoring & Evaluation Technical Specialist for Food Aid Program Assistance

ME&A is recruiting a Senior Level Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Technical Specialist for Food Aid Program Assistance to support USAID’s Bureau for Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA) in its operational and administrative support in the coordination of their programs of international disaster response and humanitarian assistance; emergency and developmental food aid: conflict mitigation programs; transition activities; and, other DCHA Bureau initiatives.

The Senior Level M&E Technical Specialist will provide expert technical advice and assistance related to M&E and its function related to humanitarian assistance programming optimization and learning. She/He will review and analyze programs and activities and recommend methodologies for evaluations and the delivery of evaluation products The Senior Level M&E Technical Specialist will provide technical support to programming evaluations. This may include but is not limited to conducting evaluations on temporary field deployments or directly engaging in M&E functions in USAID/Washington. The Senior Level Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist may serve as the team lead as necessary. Other qualifications include:

  • At least a Master’s Degree in agriculture, agricultural economics, nutrition or related field;
  • At least (12) twelve years of experience working in agribusiness, food aid, or Feed the Future-related programs;
  • Familiarity with Feed the Future programs is a plus;
  • Experience evaluating projects, especially USAID-funded programs.
