PEEL Project Assistant

The United States Agency for International Development has awarded Mendez England and Associates (ME&A) the Feed the Future Global Program Evaluation for Effectiveness and Learning (PEEL) Task Order.  The actual scope of the work will be determined based on demand from USAID missions but is likely to involve 58 performance evaluations, 12 population based surveys and 4 impact evaluations to be conducted in a five year period by ME&A and their sub-contractors for this task order ICF, NORC and Abt Associates. 

The project is recruiting a Project Assistant who will report to the Chief of Party of the PEEL Project to assist in this work.   This is a full-time entry-level position located at ME&A’s office in Washington  DC.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all the documentation generated by the project,
  • keep a roster of available consultants
  • Coordinate the management of the teams proceeding to undertake evaluations and studies
  • Provide program support and project backstopping including but not limited to international travel and logistics, shipping and procurement, and contracts management, etc.
  • Conduct research for various activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong analytical, writing, and editing skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Highly skilled at personal and task organization
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and adaptability
  • Applicants must have US work authorization
