CEW Launches LED Street Lighting in Armavir Region

The USAID Clean Energy and Water (CEW) Program recently conducted a public outreach event to present the results of the energy efficient LED street-lighting project completed in Lernagog village of Armavir Region, Armenia. The project was implemented in partnership with the Children of Armenia Fund and Lernagog Village administration.

Prior to the completion of the CEW/CoAF energy efficient LED lighting demonstration project, Lernagog was among the many villages in Armenia that do not have street-lighting at all. This project helped to resolve one of the urgent issues of this community and benefited 515 households and 2,154 people. CEW program objectives over the next three years are targeted at improving water and energy management practices in Armenia as well as helping the country better respond to climate change. The CEW program is implemented for the USAID Mission in Yerevan by ME&A.

The CEW project is funded through USAID's Water II IQC. To get more information visit www.cew.am and follow the project on .
