What is HICD?
Human and institutional capacity development or HICD is organizational development expertise applied in a wide range of sectors (financial, health, agriculture, infrastructure, technology, etc.); organizational settings (large public sector institutions to community level organizations); and development contexts (conflict, post-conflict, and transitioning countries).
ME&A is an active participant and proponent of HICD and holds USAID's Human and Institutional Capacity Development (HICDpro) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Under HICDpro, ME&A currently implements the USAID funded HICD 2020 Activity in Georgia where ME&A’s team works with its subcontractors, Chemonics International and Performance Design Partners (PDP) to achieve tangible improvements in the human and institutional capacity of USAID’s strategic partner organizations in Georgia including governmental, non-governmental, and for-profit entities.
ME&A incorporates an HICD approach in all its management consulting projects and is an active member of the International Society for Performance Improvement.
